We collect information to provide better recommendations to you - from understanding the apps that you use on your phone to provide you with relevant coupon recommendations, to understanding the services you use from your SMS to provide you with bill reminder recommendations. User information is not shared with any third party without explicit consent of the user. We collect information in the following ways:
ELE collects information arising out of transactions made from cards, banks or while using other services through the App user’s SMS inbox. ELE obtains the User’s specific consent to allow the App to access the User’s SMS inbox. ELE only accesses Business messages that originate from Alphanumeric senders. The collection of such information is only limited to the extent that such data is available in the relevant messages. ELE may also record the identity of the product or service and the amounts paid or payable in respect thereof. This information will be stored in ELEs backend server for analysis purposes to ensure that the best recommendation reaches the users. SMS Information is sent to the Ele Backend for analysis to discover users preferences and behaviors so that relevant recommendations like apps specific Coupons and Bill Reminders can be created for users. Sensitive information like OTPs and passwords are not read.
ELE collects information regarding the name of all the installed applications in your mobile. This is also further used to provide you with better coupons and deals for the applications that you have installed in your mobile. Installed Application Information is sent to the Ele Backend for analysis to discover users preferences and behaviors so that relevant recommendations like apps specific Coupons and Bill Reminders can be created for users
As soon as you install Ele, and register as a first time user there is some information that you share with us like your Account details for sign up, your name, photograph etc. When you do so, we receive basic information from your account provider like your email ID and any other information that they provides us.
We will also request for your location permission as this will be used to filter out the deals and coupons specific to your location. We sync GPS location with our servers to create money saving tips.
We may collect device event information such as crashes, system activity, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request. This helps us to provide you with better services.

We collect information about the ELE services that you use and how you use them, like when you click on any recommendation, or try to apply a coupon, or reject/postpone our recommendation. This helps us to enhance Ele’s efficiency to provide you with more personalised and useful recommendations
We use the information we collect to provide you with relevant recommendations tailored to your tastes and preferences. We use your google account to authenticate and identify your profile so that next time you login from a different device you would only need to login with the same profile to retrieve your previous account details. When you contact Ele, we keep a record of your communication to help solve any issues you might be facing. We may use your email address to inform you about our services, such as letting you know about upcoming changes or improvements. Ele processes personal information on our servers in many countries around the world. We may process your personal information on a server located outside the country where you live.
Users have a choice to decide which permissions they will want to provide us with. For example, if SMS permissions are not provided, Ele would not be able to provide you any recommendations related to bill reminders. Users are always advised before a permission is given as to what the outcome of the same would be. Review and update your permissions to decide what types of data you would like Ele to access. Review and control certain types of recommendations that will be presented to you by going to Settings and disabling certain type of recommendations
Whenever you use our services, we aim to provide you with access to your personal information. If that information is wrong, we strive to give you ways to update it quickly or to delete it – unless we have to keep that information for legitimate business or legal purposes. When updating your personal information, we may ask you to verify your identity before we can act on your request.
